Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on rallying after Vancouver’s early physical play…)
KOPITAR: “They came out really strong. That’s the thing we expected, too. It’s one of those things where, coming back here after a split, we knew they were going to get out of the gate strong and try to kind of intimidate us, but we pushed back. It’s one of those things that happens in the playoffs. There are some momentum swings, and we were able to hold on and then turn it around.”
(on Doughty and Johnson’s play on the power play…)
KOPITAR: “It really simplifies everything. They control the puck really well. We’ve been shooting the puck and getting some bounces, and that’s how we’re getting some goals.”
The biggest difference on the PP is JJ is taking more wristshots and getting them on net. Not every shot needs to be a blast from the point. Get the shot on goal and go after the rebounds.

Sorry to disagree but the biggest difference on the PP is everybody is moving their legs and were not relying on Stoll s one timer to get it done anymore !Teams read us like a book!!Now with JJ and DD we have so many more options to go too!

Sorry to disagree with both of you but the biggest difference on the PP is GOALS!!!!(LOL)….7-12 on the PP is awesome.

I agree with all of you here…

You also have to admit that the vancouver pk just plain old sucks–no pressure whatsoever.

Is it Kopitar’s turn to score 2 or 3 goals the next game ?
I sure hope so meahha

whats going on with kopii!!!!?? im a huge fan of him but he hasnt been playing as great as he was in the mid season!
great gamee tonightt!!!!

JJ in Stoll’s position is clearly the biggest difference. JJ is WAY WAY better on the point.
JJ and DD both gonna be all stars next year.

Kopi has 3 points in 3 games in this playoff and 81 points in 82 games this regular season and you are questioning him? I would ask myself or you what’s for example with Brown rather Kopi…lol
[Reply]
…he’s still improving, after all he set his record in points, assists and goals as well this year(think so), so question some other player please.

and scored brilliant OT winning goal last game. again LOL

why are we complaining about ANY of our players right now????? Who cares who scores, we ARE SCORING! That’s all that matters at the end of the day. Kopi may not be scoring but he does a lot of other things. Brown hasn’t scored as many goals as previous seasons, but he works his butt of every single night. I take scoring by committee anyday over a one superstar scorer. Hockey is a TEAM sport not a “look at me and what I can do” sport.

kopitar is playing great DEFENSE!!!

Sandra said it best “TEAM SPORT”. Play as a team win as a team. I’m lovig this team right now!!
And the return of DB last night was epic, and I’m not talking about Dustin Brown

Anyone who says Kopi isn’t playing great this series isn’t watching the same games I am. He was a backchecking fiend last night. I can’t count the number of times the came down in the defensive zone and took the puck away or stripped Nucks in the neutral zone. He didn’t get a lot of chances because he had a guy hanging on his back for most of the night, but he was a very big presence in other areas last night. He took the body a few times and also got in guys faces. He showed some muscle when he did go to the net.
Great game by Kopi. Not getting the scoring chances? Pick it up in other areas and make those around you better.

That’s true, the Kings are winning and it’s the only thing that matters right now. But I just must defend, I believe our and our nation’s best hockey player so…
