Bernier, first-team all-star

The AHL announced its “First and Second All-Star Teams” for this season, and Jonathan Bernier was the first all-star goalie. Bernier has a 2.07 goals-against average, a .936 save percentage, eight shutouts and a 29-30-5 record in 56 games with the Monarchs this season. G – Cedrick Desjardins, Hamilton Bulldogs – 42 games, a 26-8-3 record, a 1.93 goals-against-average, a .923 save percentage and six shutouts

D – Maxim Noreau, Houston Aeros – 71 games, 18+32=50 pts., 22 power play points

D – Clay Wilson, Rochester Americans – 73 games, 14+46=60 pts., +19

LW – Charles Linglet, Springfield Falcons – 75 gp, 19+55=74 pts., 31 power play points

C – Corey Locke, Hartford Wolf Pack – 73 games, 29+51=80 pts., 18 power play goals

RW – Andrew Gordon, Hershey Bears – 73 games, 36+34=70 pts., +25, 18 power play goals

Each All-Star Team member will receive a custom designed crystal award in recognition of his selection.
