End of second: Blues 2-0

Shots were 10-9 Blues in the second period. In what might end up being the only bit of good news for the Kings tonight, Calgary lost to the New York Islanders 3-2. The Kings’ magic number for making the playoffs has been reduced to 10.

Kings are a joke right now. Quick is awful to say the least, Bernier is head and shoulders better. They have zero going, nothing is going to the middle of the ice, no chances from the slot, just like last night. They are going to get roasted in the playoffs. They need a big hit or fight and nobody is going to do anything. Good luck in the playoffs

Not at all a Ducks fan, just call it how I seem it. It’s ok keep wearing your blinders you’ll see. I hate the Ducks, but they do have a cup and know how to win, unlike this lifeless team

Why are we always trailing and needing to make a comeback? One of the major problems Kings need to clean up is to start periods on a high note. We tend to pick up our game too late.

@pr0cess, Brown was bad after the kid and didn’t seem in the game but his kid was in the hospital in bad shape. I don’t know if you are being serious or not, but I guess anything can be a reason. I agree with him being tired, I don’t think he’s the greatest goalie in the world but he isn’t this bad either. Quick is somewhere in the middle between great and average but right now I don’t know what is going on. Not all his fault, team doesn’t seem like they are trying very hard. Imma predict that this game ends 3-1. We will tie the game and get real close to tieing the game until Blues put one in the empty net and we say, wow we almost did it! (and yet play only a 20 minute game)

Ok, I have seen enough. This team has lost “it”.
No snarl, no grit, no sandpaper, whatever, SOFT SOFT SOFT.

I am tired of the experiments and line combos and tinkering. We were much better without Modin and Halpern, while Williams was hurt. So be it. There is your new fourth line until they get their shit together.

Frolov-Kopitar-Simmonds
Smyth-Stoll-Williams
Harrold-Zus-Brown

Two lines plus a utility line in Zus’ group. Leave the top two intact and slot in anyone from the fourth line that acts like they are capable of making a hockey play and put them in for Harrold.

Tell Brown that we need him to play hockey now, enough falling down trying to draw stupid penalties. Shoot Dustin, after you master that we will work on hitting the net. Eventually we will work our way up to passing, and maybe, I know I’m a dreamer, but maybe one day we will advance to the doorstep of receiving passes in stride and then shooting and scoring.

Typical of the Kings’ loser mentality that still pervades the organization was just exemplified by Bob Miller during the out of town update.

With a CAL and CHI losses already in the books and NAS beating PHX, Miller didn’t point out that the Kings are blowing a golden opportunity to gain ground on 3 conference rivals, but, rather, that the Kings aren’t going to lose ground to the 9th place team.

That’s some kind of spin.

This team will not reach the top when they are just trying to ahead of the bottom feeders.

i like how we have evolved from being awful for many years, to playing .500 hockey for a few weeks and everyone getting upset….its a good sign we have high expectations, but dull points happen to every team, every season.

remember when pittsburgh was out of a playoff spot 5 weeks before the playoffs started then they wont he cup?

we will be fine.
