St. Louis took the lead 3:57 into the first period. Kings defenseman Davis Drewiske bobbled the puck at the offensive blue line, and the Blues jumped on it and started a 2-on-1 break. B.J. Crombeen beat Quick with a wrist shot from the left circle.

Bad time for Quick to take a couple of games’ ciesta.
[Reply]
Quick looks so sketchy again. Looks like he lost his confidence.
[Reply]
so tierd of weak goals wtf
[Reply]
It’s not JUST Quick. Granted, that was an awful goal, but the rest of the team aren’t exactly on their games, either. We need to pull it together.
[Reply]
Will you guys let up on Quick. Some of the early posters who’ve been here a long time don’t post as much anymore. That’s probably why. Umm. it was a two on one.

@KingsFanSince74-75,
Thank you guys. I’m beginning to feel the same. There used to be really Insightful comments. Sure we could all get frustrated from time to time. I’m sorry!! They are NUMBER 6 OVERALL on the PP. I mean, some people are never happy. It’s true there have been some slip ups, but, Quick had a baby, he’s played loads, And he’s in his first full year. He doesn’t have a Brodeur like resume yet, so give the guy some time to grow.

@number 6, I’ve felt like a broken record saying that King’s fans need to relax, and remember the summer: We were in the MIDDLE of a rebuild. Let’s not sacrifice the future for a quick gain. You can go back and check my posts. I agree w/ you. However, Quick has not been up to his own potential lately.

And why is that? because you are so used to the team sleeping through the first and second period. I’m more tired of posters bagging on people who are so pissed at the crappy way the team is playing than the ones who think that their holyier than thow comments against them mean something.People have their own ideas about this team,it doesn’t matter how you think it should be policed,it’s Mr Hammonds. You know even Annthonyy and WWWWAAAMMMDDD have something intellegent to say.

@number 6, To help explain it, there’s a lot of frustration that our team is turning “average” after a great season. And this is happening just before the playoffs. There’s a lot of panic and negativity if your a long time Kings fan. Hopefully we can all get past that. I’ve watched all season and just started posting. Not saying I’m one of the negative ones, but yah thats my explanation.

@Masked Man, Right on the money, for the ones who have been on this roller coaster of a team that is the way it is,but right now ,this close to the playoffs andthe fact that we’ve seen this team play better we expect more,
[Reply]
Already jumping against Quick… come on guys he’s labeled #1 for a reason….. But I have to say when Nick and Daryl are saying that Quicker doesn’t look confident or comfortable in there at the start it gets me wondering if getting yanked last night got in his head

GIVE QUICK A 1 OR 2 GAME REST IN THE GAMES THE REMAIN AND LETS GET READY FOR THE PLAYOFFS GO KINGS!

Pull your #1 goalie who has carried team entire year in consecutive games — two weeks before the playoffs begin.
Great for the guy’s confidence.

@R.T., I’ve always said it and it’s true. Quicks save percentage sucks, he’s gaa is mediocre. He is definitely a better goalie than Ersberg but he is not the all high and mighty people thought he was and he is proving it recently. Everytime somebody used to say something about Quick EVERYONE would jump on them, now when more and more people are starting to think he’s just a bridge goalie until we get to Bernier we got less people like this.

RJC76 Reply:

@Alen,
Yes that’s why “Hockey Experts”, not just average joe’s posting on a blog, have made comments about Quick’s excellent play this season. That’s why he was 1 of 3 american goalies to be selected for the olympic team. And all average goalies are on the verge of winning 40 games…you’re right.
[Reply]
Alen Reply:
March 25th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
@RJC76, You can march out AVERAGE goalies out as much as we do with the team we have and probably win just as many games. Bryzgalov, please look at the stats and compare, thanks. Wins are overrated, specially when you can get 40 wins so easily thanks to the shootout. It might help if his save percentage was near 92-93 instead of barely being over 90 percent. Tim Thomas made the US olympic roster and he is a piece of crap. Yes he did win the Vezina last year but so did Jim Carey, who gives a crap?
[Reply]
I think TM should stick with him longer tonight. Last night we were playing a team breathing down our necks.Different story tonight.
[Reply]
TM must like to play with a deficit. Thats the only reason I can see the purpose of these lines.
[Reply]
The team, including Quick, looks to have very little interest in competing in this period.
[Reply]
@ number 6: I’ve been on this site all season as have you, I haven’t posted much lately, let alone all season. I post from a cellphone which makes it annoying to do, however, I’ve noticed your posts all season which tells me you’ve been watching all year. Therefore you’ve watched Quick all year. Can you really say he’s playing well? At all lately? You are rational poster, as such you should agree Quick should have taken the shooter, D-man has the pass. Quick is off his game lately. I will respond back, just give me time. It took me 12min to post this little bit.

Mik, thanks for your post. I do appreciate it. I’m listening on the radio as I’m in nyc, but I just feel sometimes people expect perfection. Maybe he hasn’t been as sharp lately, but it’s a long season and as I said earlier, he’s in his first full year. Either he’ll grow and learn or Bernier will be the guy. Either way it isn’t a disaster. Trust me. I wouldn’t want to trade places with the Rangers!!

[Reply]
Also, the St. Louis announcers said that the Kings Arrived in St.L at 2:30 a.m., probably got to sleep near 3 or so after playing a tough game last night. My point is, it’s easy to sit here and be critical. Takes no effort to do that.
[Reply]
You guys are awesome. Did anyone catch the Caps v. pens game last night? I wonder what all you insightful ex-coaches thought when Boudreau threw in Knuble for the GW SO goal, after never making a SO goal in his life. “What is he THINKING!?” There is a reason TM is a coach- cut him some slack. All of you that are so critical of his coaching decisions wouldn’t last the first shift of a pre-season game vs. a 2008-level Coyotes team before cracking under the pressure. 90% of you are the parents yelling at the coach who doesn’t put in their 8 year old child playing mite in-house hockey for fun. Get a life and cut him some slack. We can go .500 from here out and finish with 102 pts. Very mediocre, I know, and Nashville is right there behind us…We have only played 72 games everybody, RELAX. I would hate to see what all of you would be like if you were Sharks fans every year booking golf trips as the playoffs begin.
