I took my son on the road to see the Kings play in Tampa and Miami. We'd like to do it again next season (or perhaps in Phoenix or San Jose this April/May). Is there any way to find out which hotel the Kings players are staying at when they're on the road?

kingsxstevenxkings:

Not to speak for Pauline, but to base your reply to her question about fighting after a clean hit on the fact that she may or may not have ever played the game is a bit misguided.

She clearly said she understood the 'code', but her question to Rich (who replied that it was a very good question) was simply along the lines of what does it say about the NHL when one of its coaches openly advocates one of his players retaliating against an opponent who did nothing wrong by the rules.

I fully understand that hitting a star player needs to be addressed, but is losing one of our better players in Simmonds for 1/3 of the game really worth it?

And if the chance to hit Kopitar again in the same game arose, do you really think the opponent would lay off because he would think back to Simmonds attacking his teammate?

In last night's Buffalo-Pittsburgh game, one of the Pens behind the net ran over Sabres' goalie Ryan Miller who has been their best player all year and arguably the best goalie in the NHL this season. Miller got up, thought about going after him and then retreated to his crease. Some of Miller's teammates congregated around the Penguins' player but no one jumped him. Did the unspoken rulebook that Simmonds must have read not make it to the east coast? Does anyone think less of the Buffalo Sabres because they did not instinctively jump an opponent when the 'code' clearly says to do so in that situation?

rich, how about starting a column with info for blog memebers to meet at a location to watch a USA vs Canada, or other team, Olympic tournament game?

does Bob Miller ever get contacted to do 1 of the national service TV games?

Rich-
Collectively speaking, THANKS for all you have done on this blog for all of us Kings fans. This has been an incredible source of information for us. We all are aware of how much effort you are putting into this site and we appreciate all of it!
	Now, for two questions...

Seeing as though the game tonight is the first since the Ryan hit on Moeller, what were your thoughts on that incident? Did us King fans make too much of it in the aftermath, or was it as egregious as some of us felt?

Re Frolov, what is your guess...is he a King next year or gone?

Hi Rich,

I know Kovi is all the talk right now, but I would be very curious as to who the board members see going to Atlanta if a deal were completed-poll?
The last time Waddell made a deal, of this impending magnitute, forwards Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen, prospect Angelo Esposito, and a first-round draft pick in 2009, went to Atlanta for Hossa. I think this serves as an interesting standard for the cost of Kovi. At this point, I think the equivalent, production wise, would be having to give up Simmonds, Parse, prospect Lewis, and our #1 pick in 2010. Not worth it in my opinion....

Rich, thank you for finally giving some voice to Kings fan. My question is, if TM not going to play Ivanans in
a third period that much, why even bother putting him in. I maybe wring, but I feel even the shifts that his line get is shorter than the other lines and just like any other player, he needs ics time to become better. I get it that forth line is not known for skills, but I really think he can become much better and contribute better if given the chance. BTW, how is his work ethics during practice? Thanks again Rich for all your hard work.
