The Kings were outshot 14-7, and didn’t have a power play, but managed to come out of the period with the lead thanks to Matt Greene’s shot and Jonathan Quick’s outstanding play.

Quickzilla!

GO KINGS!
[Reply]
The good thing about that start, Jackets are starting to look like a team that has already lost mentally. They thinkin “what do we need to do to score”. Thank you Quick! After that first pk we started to get our game back. The 2nd got us closer to our game. But you know the Jackets coach is yellin in the locker room now. So we gotta step it up even more for the 2nd.

Good job just getting through that one, hopefully we’ll ease up the pressure on quick and start controlling play a bit more..lets win some faceoffs!

Maybe we need to ban ALL media on the Kings…every time these kids get articles written about them, positive articles, their game goes into the crapper…
These boys seem to play better when the media doesn’t care about them.
Just thinking out loud…Rich, make it happen. Thanks.

Another shift where Bob Miller says Wayne Simmonds name about 5 times. That guy is everywhere some nights

There’s probably something to that, mbrett. Unless you’re Doughty and you’ve been a highly-touted hockey stuff (apparently) ever since you were an embryo, you’re probably not used to attention at this level, good or bad. I’m sure it’s hard not to let it mess with your head.

Agree with you, Kris:
The Jackets have a tendency to quit if things don’t go their way, this year.
Let’s see what they come with in the second period, today…

I wonder if DL is scouting RJ Umberger &/or A. Vermette this game as Columbus falls in the standings becoming trade deadline Sellers. I think both would fit our system and are decent faceoff guys & scorers.
Go Kings Go.

It sounds like DL is open to a rental acquisition for the first time. But you know he won’t pull the trigger unless he’s absolutely confident that it’s a good value proposition (i.e., no way he’s gonna overpay).

Wow! JJ bringing out a little of the MF on Boll!
[Reply]
Nevermind, he held him up while Simmer finished him.
