Wings 2, Kings 1

The Kings pulled within one goal 1:55 into the second period. Wayne Simmonds forced the puck away from Jonathan Ericsson. Anze Kopitar picked it up and shot, and Howard made the save, but with the puck loose in front, Brad Richardson jabbed at it and popped it into the air, over Howard’s head. As the puck was coming down, Kopitar knocked it over the line.

This is all I ask…that the Kings play hockey like they have for the first several minutes of this period…win or lose…good, solid hockey.

Why were they not prepared to play like this in the first period?

  9. Dayman says:

No but JJ walking the ling and getting checked from behind losing momentum is his fault

  10. shades says:

And regarding Brown…he takes alot of dives, so the refs are reluctant to call it when he goes down unless it’s obvious!

  30. Mean Machine says:

0-26 doesn’t help either on special teams. JJ can’t hit jumbo jet if it was in front of him.

  31. BakoCAkingsCondorsGuy says:

It would only be fair to score a last minute goal to tie this one up…

  44. king_Stoner says:

its almost comical how bad it is. he’s real good in the shootout when its up close but from the blue line.. no way!!

the worst thing to happen to JMFJ was doughty becoming a king!!

    [Reply]

  54. Dominick says:

    NO.

    [Reply]

  55. Frozen Puck On A Stick says:

I kinda thought so. Why would DL “bash” JMFJ’s skills if he was looking to trade him? That would diminish his trade value …

    [Reply]

  56. badGoltending says:

JJ is a stud as a player.

he’s a star that plus/minus can be misleading because he’s always on the ice in every situation.

    if you ask me:
do i think Johnson’s d-game is the best on the team? i’d say no.
scuderi or doughty would get that nod iMHO.

JOHNSON is going to grow into that role he’s learning to play on this team. i think he is as important piece as doughty.
