ugh…!!!
i’m having a maalox moment sans the dinner…:(
[Reply]
Ahhh — a legit 5-3!
[Reply]
please pass the maalox over here too…
[Reply]
Not quite the start we were looking for. Time to settle down after getting robbed on that penalty.
[Reply]
BELEXES…
im now switching to scotch…:)
[Reply]
The worst call against the Kings since they were in Montreal last year. The official should be fired. I am so f—- pissed off.
[Reply]
So much for a statement game
or at least a statement that we Are actually ready for a plAyoff berth
[Reply]
Stop whining about how the Kings are always getting screwed…it’s the team that’s screwed!
[Reply]
Here we go playing against the Zebra squad again!!! How is it we as fans are supposed to continue putting up with this??? It is so blatant… Like maltby holding Stoll’s stick and Stoll getting called for hooking, now we have a ref 10 feet away who CAN see waving off the call while the guy 150 feet away MAKES the call… It’s so blatant and insulting.
[Reply]
There needs to be a rule like in football where the refs can discuss the call and overturn it. Either way, starting another rough game down. Hopefully we can turn it around.
[Reply]
I said No Playoffs last week. I stand by that. They’ll pull these victories out of their rears like against Buffalo, but they are terribly inconsistent. Bad officiating doesn’t help.
[Reply]
yeah getting screwed by the refs. last game with the interference when the sabers were on the pp. nice slash by doughty after the play was over. and after that Montreal game the kings completely sank last year. and now the refs made the bogus call on Wayne. I guess bad calls come in bunches
[Reply]
guys who are complaining about the officiating…:
whaaaa…???
we are playing soooo well at this point…?!?!?
we have yet to show up so far…and even if the calls have been marginal,no way can you compare that to last year’s montreal conspiracy…no way…!
[Reply]
…pass the scotch please. Single malt? Highland? Yum.
[Reply]
The passing is horrible today!
[Reply]
WAVES…
i got a lil’ bit of the glenn’s today…livet, to be exact…
rocks or straight…my virtual friend..?!
[Reply]
variable, it’s close to the Montreal conspiracy. They’re in Detroit. The officials are going to give them favorable calls. They just are.
[Reply]
Just a single rock please. Thank you.
[Reply]
Kings did not sink after montreal last year. They won 4 in a row after.
[Reply]
SCAUGHT…
i just put that montreal game right up the with the lakers vs.sacramento as two games high on my “worst officiated games ever” list…
we still have about 50mins to go in this room…so, yeah, i guess they have some time to change my mind…
let’s hope not, though…
[Reply]
biggest joke of a call. guy a foot away doesn’t call it and the guy by the red line calls it. outrageous.
[Reply]
So has this ref conspiracy been around all these years that the Kings have missed the playoffs? And for the horrible homestand? And for the Kings horrible power play?
I suppose the refs are responsible for all the horrible trades and draft picks also then, RIGHT?
[Reply]
dude you’re a clown. it was a bad call.
[Reply]
i hate blaming the refs for anything…
i would like to think that game in montreal was an aberration…
in a case like that, sure…blame does have some purpose…
but…yes…SHADES…blaming the refs is one of the worst arguments available in defending yr team(s)…
[Reply]
again a pp fail. I guess kompon’s idea of switching it up is moving doughty to the point instead of stoll. how creative……not
[Reply]
refs are gonna make bad calls…
unfortunately when it goes against the team you root for, it always seems like a greater injustice…
i’m not saying the penalty vs. simmer was a good one…it wasn’t…
but we are not playing well enough for the refs to notice anything else…just something to consider…
[Reply]
Scaught
Why watch then if you’re so sure there’s no playoffs? I’m pretty sure there’s plenty of more productive things you could be doing besides watching something that you already *know* the outcome of.
And Shades, I find it somewhat ironic that you of all people would tell someone to stop whining about anything. Pot meet kettle.
[Reply]
RJ, stating that the Kings are just not good enough to make the playoffs is not whining, blaming the refs IS!
Also, we, as fans can still watch the games in hope of seeing some good hockey…it’s why I watched last year even when they were mathematically eliminated. We love hockey!
[Reply]
I like the way the KINGS are playing…ultimately we are down 2-0, but if we keep up this kind of play the next 40 min I like our chances…
[Reply]
There we go…good hard work
[Reply]
Shades
See that’s where we agree. We all hope to see good hockey. Where we disagree is in your *prediction* that the Kings don’t make the playoffs. There’s plenty of hockey left to play my friend and we all hope, as i’m sure you do too, that you’re wrong.
[Reply]
The refs consistantly make bad momentum changing calls in close games between the Kings and the Wings. I mentioned no other contests, trades, or anything else; it is a trend I have grown tired of over the last 10 years. Bad calls are a fgact of life; refs are huiman and often simply don’t see it. I am not talking about that. I am talking about a ref 1/2way across the rink from the ref on top of the play who thinks he had a better look. I am talking about Stoll letting GO of the stick and it being patently obvious Maltby held the stick and not vice versa- and the ref STILL CALLS STOLL for hooking when he had lost posession of his stick! How can you hook a man with a stick you’re not even holding??? This is the trend that has existed for years. Look at the records; do your homework. Older Kings fans who have been around a while know what I’m talking about.
[Reply]
Furthermore, I also expect tonight’s performance is the answer to the issue. Beat them in spite of the gimme calls and they’ll cease to happen because they won’t help.
