Daryl Sydor was the other defenseman I was thinking of, with the point shot, who went to Dallas.

roadtripper--

That is a horrific elbow by Cormier but i dont expect any hockey association to take the guys priviledges away for anything more than a week. How was that guy eligible for the WJC's after elbowing that Swede? Especially in an exhibition game.

Kovi is sick. So is Kobe on the lakers. Lakers are a good team. So are the Kings. Kings don't have a Kobe. No need for Bernier right now. It wouldn't have to be Kovi but i think the kings should pick up an offense minded individual for the remainder of the season. Look at how gift Smyth is and all the difference he brings to the table. ANY ETA ON JUSTIN WILLIAMS?

Hear, hear, Big Pappa!

I have followed the Kings since the days of Rogie and Frank St. Marseilles and -- how I wish we had one like him now! -- Danny Maloney (still the most terrifying white man I ever laid eyes on).

We've bought talent and traded picks for talent, but look at the guys who came up through our system -- Rob Blake, Darryl Sydor, and Alexei Zhitnik, whom we sent off to teams that made runs for the Cup. Remember the goalie we traded a draft pick for? Ron Grahame? The draft pick we spent to get him turned out to be Ray Bourque.

Enough of this trade niggling! We're doing all right, learning a system, sustaining steady play, growing as a TEAM. We have an intelligent coaching staff and a GM who's looking at long-term growth.

About time! I've got nothing against Dave Taylor -- every King on the ice when Deadmarsh scored the overtime goal that knocked the Wings outa the playoffs in 2001 was brought here in a Taylor-made deal. And a couple of DL's transactions -- Nagy, for one example and Cloutier and McCauley for others -- are still making us lick wounds.

But however tough it was for DL to get to where he is now, I agree with his approach and with his overall plan. And I lo-o-ove Terry Murray's approach to the team.

How many coaches would have given guys like Richardson and Parse and Simmonds -- and even Doughty -- the ice-time to prove themselves? When EVERYBODY was hollering last season for us to trade for a veteran netminder, the coaching staff hung with Quick.

TM and DL and MH and BR and RH, et al. aren't a pack of nincompoops. They see every nuance, every tic, every need of the team.

I say let's play this hand out to the finish. If it's our bad luck to be in a conference where 98 points may not be enough to get you into the playoffs, I'm still happy with the direction we're going.

LET SOME OTHER TEAM INCUR THE NATIONAL DEBT FOR KOVI. Is he really winning Atlanta's games all by his lonesome?

My mom passed away from Colon cancer just over a year ago.

These cancer doctors are indeed a cut above and deserve respect.

	They're also well compensated.

I remember seeing my mothers oncologist drive into the parking lot in his Lambo ... I thought .. damn dude .. you deserve every penny.

That was definitely one of them--there were a couple others. One of them was with the Stars for a long time, after starting with the Kings around the time Blake did.
