World Juniors final set

It’s USA vs. Canada for the gold in the World Junior Championships on Tuesday, a game that will get just a tiny. tiny amount of coverage north of the border… In yesterday’s semifinals, Canada beat Switzerland 6-1 and USA beat Sweden 5-2. The teams met in round-robin play and Canada rallied to win 5-4 in a shootout.

Up here in San Jose, it’s Kings-Sharks tonight. If you’re just getting to work and need to catch up on yesterday’s news and notes, you can check out my LAKings.com notebook, followed by a game preview from NHL.com. Morning skate starts at 11:30 a.m. here.
