KOPITAR: “A little bit. It was more of a wind-knocker. Other than that, I felt OK. I have no problems.”
(on whether it was a dirty hit…)
KOPITAR: “We’re going down for the puck. I’m reaching around, trying to get the puck. He doesn’t even think about the puck. You be the judge if that’s a dirty hit.”
(on the style of play tonight…)
KOPITAR: “They had some fire right at the beginning. That’s the way hockey is played sometimes, too. I thought we pushed back. Raitis got in there, OD got in there a couple times. I think it just shows that, the team, we’re going to push back. But the result was not there. I thought we did some good things, and there is some improvement left too. It’s one of those games that could go either way, and we’re definitely not satisfied with that, just playing good. We need points.”
(on another one-goal game…)
KOPITAR: “That’s how it is. For the past four years that I’ve been here, it’s been like that. Even in the beginning of the year, every single game went to overtime, so that doesn’t help at all, too. So we’ve got to find a way to win games. That’s the bottom line.”
There ya go Kopi. YOU need to find a way to get back to your original form and YOU gotta win these games like earlier in the season.

YES its been like that KOPI for 4yrs now its on you and the rest of
the player to change that. It starts by not feeling down getting back
up and fighting harder and tougher then before. NO excuses why
we could’nt beat the flames tonight.

OK Kopi, you’re almost there. Very close to that mental breakthrough. You recognize that the last 4 years have been like these last 4 games. Now think about the letter on your shoulder and look at your paycheck.
That’s RIGHT! Now YOU can do something about it. In fact, you NEED to. If you think for one minute guys like Phaneuf (Bless You) are once in a while happenings, think again my friend. For you, these guys exist EVERY GAME NIGHT! Dion bullseyed the target on your chest. Dirty as hell, but he hit the mark. Thankfully you’re a big guy. If that was Oscar Moller, he’s done for the season.
