Kings 4, Wild 1

The Kings continued their scoring early in the second period. In a delayed-penalty situation, the Kings controlled the puck, then Alexander Frolov fed a perfect cross-ice pass to Michal Handzus, whose one-timer from the right side beat Backstrom 3:17 into the second period for a 4-0 lead.

The Wild answered at the 4:50 mark. Jonathan Quick moved to his right to play a rebound shot, but Antti Miettinen instead centered a pass to Andrew Brunette, whose one-timer went into an open net to make it 4-1.

  25. Alen says:

How is keeping Frolov over Brown even close to funny? Maybe I’m missing something. What has Brown done that makes him so special except be a crappy captain/teammate? Where is our captain when Kopitar gets wrecked or when Simmonds gets wrecked or Doughty gets wrecked? He isn’t a good captain, he doesn’t score but he does hit people!

  32. Alen says:

I don’t have a Frolov jersey. Yeah Johnny, he makes a great 4th liner. Parise, Getzlaf, Perry, Seabrook, Mike Richards all went after Brown in that draft. Compare Brown to any of them he’s a freakn joke. Dustin Brown is the Kings Cluttercrap.

    [Reply]

  33. DLB says:

Oh, whatevs. You know the line of Frolov/Popcorn/Brown would totally rock. Especially if Fro would shoot more, Popcorn could crash the net, and Dustin could manage to keep the puck going toward the net instead of dribbling behind him.

I cherish all of them in my heart.

  35. HBfan says:

Alen. Its obvious your a philly fan. Brownie isn’t going anywhere. You want DL to trade him there. The guy gives his all every game. I like Fro but he disappeared out of last nights game about the same time Phaneuf did. At least Brownie puts in the work EVERY night. BTW how is your half empty glass?
