The Kings took a two-goal lead with 4:11 left in the period with more nice work in front of the net. Michal Handzus centered the puck from the corner. Alexander Frolov, all alone in front, first had the puck poked away by goalie Niklas Backstrom, then had a shot blocked by a defender, then shot over the prone goalie to give the Kings a 2-0 lead.

    Its hard to believe Im watching the same team as last night. Crisp passes, movement, drive to net. This has to be the best period the Kings have played in a month. Purcell, might as well pack your bags.
