Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on Williams’ injury…)
KOPITAR: “It’s pretty frustrating to see a guy go down like that. It’s tough, but we definitely cannot take that as an excuse. We’ve got to battle through everything right now.”
(on the game…)
KOPITAR: “As bad as we played in the first two periods, we were still only one behind. We tied it up, but then it was the same story again. We just make it too hard on ourselves, with our turnovers and not-strong plays at the blue line, getting pucks in deep. They came back and scored on us.”
(on whether he saw how Williams got hurt…)
KOPITAR: “No, I didn’t. I don’t even know if it was me or Jovanovski. We got tangled up and we went down. I kind of skated away. At first, he didn’t seem hurt at all to me, so I skated away. Then I looked back and he was laying there and, as soon as I got down there to him, I knew it wasn’t good at all, because he was pretty mad and pretty frustrated.”

Oh Jarrett Stoll too, I forgot about him, but he’s a center, I think Clune gets called up either way

It’s very unfortunate for the Kings, and us Kings fans. We almost had our squad back at 100% healthy, but yet, we get hurt again. I think Simmers will get some practice on the first line, while Purcell plays wing with Stoll and Brownie…… Maybe a trade?
Remember Deadmarsh, Palffy, Allison? Hopefully it’s not de-ja-vu

1. Until Willy’s injury is evaluated completely it’s all speculation on what it is and when he’ll be back.
2. Looks like it could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months or longer.
3. Remember Simmonds? He’s already back. So, gotta wait.

Don’t kid yourselves. Willy is gone for the season.

4-6 weeks to get better. then another 2 weeks to condition. So anyone say a trade is coming soon..

Kopitar, you looked drunk out there. That is all.
