Coyotes 2, Kings 1

Well, there’s the strange goal of the year. Off a faceoff in the Kings’ zone, the puck popped in the air right in front of the Kings’ goal. Rob Scuderi attempted to handle it, but the puck tipped off the front of Scuderi’s glove and into the Kings’ net, with 6:04 left in the second period. Martin Hanzal got credit for the goal.

Actually, on the replay, it looks like Scuderi didn’t touch the puck at all, but it hit the ice badly and headed into the net. Bad break!

If the Kings don’t get their acts together pretty soon, this is going to get very ugly. The rust needs to fall off before the second period. The second goal was absurd.

Wow that goal was very reminisent of the Angels Yankies series where each player just nonchalantly let the ball drop in the infield.
