Morning reading/listening

Morning from Calgary, where it’s (slightly) warmer. The Kings will meet, but not skate, at the arena in a couple hours, so hopefully there will be injury updates to be had soon. For now, a couple things…

Canada’s roster for the World Junior Championships has been set, and it will include Kings prospects Brayden Schenn, Colten Teubert, Brandon Kozun and Martin Jones.

Joane Ireland of the Edmonton Journal, which always provides fantastic hockey coverage, did a cool story on the Kings and what they’re going through. You can read it here. The best thing, for me, about that story was the mental image of Visnovsky looking at the roster and shaking his head.

Also, if you click the “jump” below, you’ll be able to listen to a podcast I did with Kings communications manager Mike Kalinowski, who does a weekly podcast (usually with someone more important) on LAKings.com. The archive for all of this season’s podcast’s can be found here.
