Good. Quick’s been playing well lately, and I don’t think Ersberg could steal us a game from the Oilers.

Nice to see TM isn’t throwing his arms up in the air, which is essentially what he’s doing when he starts Ersberg.

  3. Seeing as how he and Frolov were the only good things about that game, good choice.

Not apropos to the post, but ESPN Insider has the rumor of the Kings trading for Lecavalier. Rich, how credible is this?

somebody said trade quick on another thread … no way … he dosent come too far out of the net anymore , hes learned his lesson and hes playing fantastic …. guys we just will not win any games with 2 key forwards hurt …. we have enough depth to deal with one, but once i heard simmonds went down i knew we would lose all 3 of these games for sure and then keep on losing if they dont come back after christmas …. and now stoll … man were in big trouble …. i mean u can blame players for what they did in this game or tomorrow night, but were just not going to win with 2 key forwards, simmonds and smyth out …. its just not gonna happen … like i said we can deal with one of them going down … but not 2 ….. and now stoll … and hey some people ragging on randy jones …. the guy has scored some huge goals for us and i think has been a fantastic pickup by lombardi … he has that offensiveness in him which i like …. defensively im not sure how good he is but the offense he gives us is totally unexpected and welcomed in my opinion

ridiculous – he is going to burn Quick out. God forbid he gets hurt, Ersberg will be a fish out of water with no experience.

    Scaught,

Isn’t Lecavalier having one of his worst seasons this year? I don’t think we need another over-paid center, thanks

If the flyers are shopping JVR, I’d be more than happy to offer them Ersberg, Purcell and a pick for him.

Quattro… This is how you create a #1 goalie. You can’t learn to be a #1 on the bench. You gotta play him and play him. I myself didn’t get it until Foxy said something a week or two ago. But yea, this seems to be a way to build a #1, give him pressure and see how much he can take. Not the way I’d go, but it works.

Dawwgggggg, the other night JQ was the toast of the town and now ya’ll want to hang him, holy cow, with the exception of one or two other guys the team sucked in front of him and you blame him for the 3rd goal……. go learn the game.

Lecavalier to Kings have circled the media since June. This is actually only one reporters continuous wish. I don’t know what the fetish is, but it’s getting silly. Cap wise; the Kings could afford it. Sense wise; the Kings can’t afford it. 10 Mil. is a lot to absorb and I’m not so sure that the price tag will carry the benefit this reporter thinks it has. It’s probably better to pass on this and let Montreal worry about it. The Kings have to concentrate on what to do with Frolov before they even entertain the idea of having Lecavalier.

I’m Just Saying, I agree with you 2000% Kompon sucks as a powerplay coach. Did you see how quick the Canucks setup in their powerplay tonight…… and our Kings couldn’t find their a$$es with a bullfiddle. I thought that I was the only one out here that felt that way about Kompon, I’ve felt this way about him for 3 years now.

Brodeur’s first season he played 47 games, 2nd season he played 40 and that’s only because Chris Terrie was there and coul back Marty up, his 3rd season he played 77 games, yes Quick could play at least 55-60 this season. If the guy thrives on it and isn’t hurt or tired……. play him.

    AK,

Lecavalier’s goal production might be down, but he still has 26 points in 32 games. He’s 6’4, 219 lbs and is still only 29. You’re saying the Kings couldn’t use him? Whatever, man …They may not like his 10 mil a year price tag, but they would love to have him.

Personally I’m fine and dandy to see Quicker back in tonight. For the fans that have serious (serious) concern about it – answer me this:

Yes or No … Do you think Jon himself would prefer to play tonight?

I will have to agree with I`m saying, and DetroitSons.I`ve watch alot of hockey the last forty years, and can`t believe how confused this team looks on offense.Yes we have won alot of games, but i feel we were very lucky in so many of those games. If you have a good system you can still be very competetive,no matter who`s on the ice.(except for Ivanas)

we look confused because every line has changed….duh. We dont need a 10 million dollar contract on the books, stay the course Deano, stay the course.

If Quicks gets hurt, we are screwed. Build a #1 goalie, fine. But we have to have a solid backup, and that takes work also. Right now I don’t see that happening, and I fear it’s going to cost us later, when it really counts.
