Simmonds has been one of our best players so far this year.. and for all those saying the Kings and Hammond are covering stuff up are just idiots. We don’t need everyone in the league to know all of our injuries. It also protects our team and our players.. And for those who don’t kno anything about knee injuries it’s very possible it happened at the game and didn’t show signs until later, especially with cartilage damage.

I think some have been reading too much into the title Rich gave this post (He got hurt…somehow) and took it to mean Rich wasn’t buying the official explanation.

Whoever acts super surprised about this injury (let alone accusing Rich about I don’t know what) is crazy and doesn’t know much about sport and knees. This sounds to me like a typical knee overuse injury. They come back later, when the body is not hot anymore. IMO Wayne will “feel” this knee for the rest of his life – I am feeling it for 9 years now, no matter how much rest I took and what kind of therapy I did. But then again my knees are weak, hope that his aren’t.

Why all the heavy curiosity over the hows and whens of Simmonds’ injury? Does it somehow change anything that matters, such as when he’s coming back and what needs to be done to correct the problem? All of the speculation, the intense rumination, the barrage of questions, it all seems irrelevant to me. I don’t really care all that much how it happened. I just want to get a timetable and then focus on the guys that are playing. There’s not anything inherently wrong with all of this fascination, it just seems to matter not one iota.

I mean, going so far as to speculate that the information is being closely guarded and withheld from all of us important people who comment on a blog? Seriously?

I was at the Phoenix game and saw TM double shift him. He looked pretty good on that assist to Moller. I’m not sure I believe this is when he was hurt.
