Four (to six?) weeks

Asked today about Ryan Smyth’s status, Terry Murray said the timetable was four to six weeks.

Come again? Six?

Murray said Smyth had not suffered a setback and claimed to be unaware of the initial “four weeks” estimate (although it had recently been discussed). Murray basically said that no matter the timetable, Smyth would play as soon as (but not before) he’s ready, even if that means the final game before the eight-day holiday break. Smyth did his usual conditioning skating today.
