Terry Murray said Ryan Smyth was cleared last night to get back on the ice, so that’s why he skated today, a day ahead of schedule. Murray said he would like to see Smyth skate as much as possible but said Smyth wouldn’t be in a full-team practice any time soon. Smyth stayed on the ice this morning as his teammates skated to warm up, and he fed them pucks from the corner.
Matt Greene did not practice. Murray called it a “therapy day” and Greene is expected back tomorrow.
Rob Scuderi practiced again, although Murray stopped short of saying Scuderi would definitely play Tuesday.
scuds needs to come back! we miss him! jones is a defensive liability…
on another note-jack johnson had his best defensive game last night that I’ve ever seen

At a -1 with 20 minutes of ice time a game, Randy Jones is not a defensive liability.
That being said, we need Scuderi back – he’s invaluable.

Thank you Stache my seniments exactly. Sometimes I have no clue what some fans watch. That is why I gave up my season seats back in 88.

Should have been “sentiments”.

Well, I for one have seen Mr. Jones trailing the play on quite a few of the more recent breakaways our opponents have had. Quick has bailed him out more than a few times. I’m not saying that I would rather see Harrold in his place, but I certainly am looking forward to the return of Scuderi and seeing Jones in a suit and tie.

When Scuderi is ready to play again, Jones sits…it’s pretty simple.
Defenisve liability? No…but having Scuderi back there certainly makes the defense better, and puts the best 6 on the ice.

call me nuts, but i wouldn’t mind sitting Drewiske a lil bit. I like the experience Randy Jones is bringing….

The Piece is needed to make sure the offensive Dmen can do their thing. Simmonds has proven the last three games he should playing with the first line while Smyth is out.

Prediction ….Kings 4-1 over the ducks.
Kings goals Kopitar, Parse,richardson(finaly) and Fro (en)……brown (?!) 19 hits …5 hard,6 mild and 8 soft,
No goals again,it:s to early .He is still a young….capitain.LOL
Quick stay calm and sharp, scudi wellcome back, fro try more one timer,JJ defense first,Wayne ,you are better
king than Obama…Dl ,please try to get a sniper ,a natural scorer…to replace brown, parcell …Power play is powerless (?????)..

When Scuderi returns…O’Donnell will sit. Just count how many turn-overs he gives away each game. In addition he cant shoot, can’t move the puck and is a poor coverage guy. The Kings let him go the first time around for good reasons.

Jones won’t sit; DL picked him up as insurance but he’s earned his spot in the top 6 with his offensive contributions, something we desperately need as of late. I think OD or Drewiske sits with Scud back…can’t wait to turn Frolov into a future 2nd & 3rd round pick…

O’Donnell is struggling lately in my eyes as well. I would leave Davis in though. He could evolve into a decent shut down guy with a good outlet pass. I would love to platoon O’Donnell and Jones though. With the amount of injuries and the odd guy needing a rest or a benching each should get into 65% of the games leaving an older O’Donnell fresher for the post season.

You could drive the Titanic through with all the room Jones gives up to the wingers when they come into our zone on the rush. While he has helped our struggling offense, a good defensive player he is not. Bench Drewiske? Yep, you are crazy. You asked.

Flex, hope you’re right, but right now JSG in playing very good in goal for the Ducks, so be prepared for the Kings ot loose this one with their anemic scoring of late.
