AWESOME!!!! If every player played like Ryan(MY FAVORITE PLAYER) we would have a STANLEY CUP CONTENDER TEAM!!! NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!
RYAN PLAYS 110% and is the difference in this team. HE’s the reason Kopitar was leading the NHL in points…
[Reply]
hurry up Smytti, Kopi can’t score without you!
[Reply]
$1000 bux says he makes it back ahead of schedule…..
[Reply]
agree with Dorian
[Reply]
Character.
You can never pay enough for it.
[Reply]
Sounds very promising!
[Reply]
It’s a good thing.
But don’t rush please. I want a fully healed Smyth back, not one with 3 cortozone injections per period and 12 braces and boards under his jersey.
[Reply]
It’s funny – I absolutely hated this guy when he played on other teams. Now I realize why – he is truly an invaluable and inspirational player. Can’t wait to see him back in the lineup.
[Reply]
Exactly, JDM. Ryan: Please take your time. If you might play one or two games before the Christmas break, skip them and heal up solid, man!
[Reply]
Ryan, please, please, please, please do not come back until healthy. We need you the rest of the year.
[Reply]
Amazing how much 1 player can have an impact, but the numbers don’t lie. I predict RSmyth will be back before the next trip to Alberta which is the 2nd week of December.
GO KINGS!!
[Reply]
Rick, I feel the same way… I remember actually feeling satisfaction when (I think it was JMFJ) sent Smyth flying into the turnbuckle at Staples one time.
Now I consider him the heart and soul of this team and among my favorite Kings ever.
[Reply]
I should mention, I hope Smyth gets the most intense, deafening welcome back from the fans in his first game back at home.
[Reply]
Anybody out there still not like the deal that brought us Smyth?
[Reply]
Guys, you are talking about Ryan Smyth. “Fully healed” is not even in his vocabulary.
[Reply]
hey Lanny,
btw….JMFJ checked Smythy into the turnbuckle at Pepsi Center, not Staples Center….
[Reply]
Thanks for the clarification Dorian! At least I’m not going *completely* crazy
[Reply]
Dear Ryan:
If you watched the Chicago game you KNOW the boys can do it without you IF they play 60 minutes.
PLEASE DO NOT RUSH THINGS!!
[Reply]
Only interested in being healthy for the Olympics…I have a feeling…..Otherwise he is not pushing getting on the ice anytime soon…Oh and what was his injury again? Right, mums the word
[Reply]
Seems we all agree, when Symth is back, we want him at full strength and we don’t want to loose him again.
I believe at least one of the close games we lost in regulation, since Scudes was injured, we would have won or at least gotten a one point from the game he had to missed.
Sounds like, the fans are noticing that ‘Last years Kings’ are maturing, though still a work in progess. Can’t wait for the return of DL’s acquisition building blocks.
Scuds see you soon. Ryan, get healthy soon. See you when your ready.
Now its time for some Roast Duck.
Go Kings Go!!
[Reply]
For all those people (me included) who think one player can’t make a big difference, Ryan Smyth has pretty much proved that theory wrong. It does when that player is brings exactly what that team needs. Funny, I too was feeling pretty smug about JJ slamming Smitty’s dome into the end glass and knocking him silly. Nice payback for Smyth’s spearing of LaBarbara earlier that season. Who would have thought he’d be the straw that mixes the Kings drink?? But put me on the list of those that don’t want him back until he’s as close to 100% as he can be.
[Reply]
It is a lot different watching this hit now.
JMFJ hit on Smyth:

macdup,I enjoyed that!

Dear “I’m just saying”:
categorically disagree, and I can only assume you wanted to see how many readers on this site you could aggravate with your latest. Let’s hope everyone else ignores you. Anthony suddenly looks like a serious analyst by comparison.
Agree with most everyone who hopes Smyth takes his time in returning. He needs to be fully healthy and the team need him as close to 100% over the long run.
[Reply]
Smyth was so mean to Kings when he was with Colorado. I hated him so much but at the same time I knew he was that good. I was so exited when I heard the news that he’s gonna join Kings and surely enough he proved to be even better with Kopi’s line. I really hope he’s gonna stay with us for a long long time. You look really handsom in King’s jersey, Smythie.
[Reply]
I saw Ryan at Hollywood Christmas Parade on sunday. Awesome guy…took a picture and everything….Williams is great too
[Reply]
“hurry up Smytti, *everyone but Simmonds* can’t score without you!”
FTFY
[Reply]
I just traded for you in my Fantasy League Smytty, so PLEASE come back soon.
Glad he’s feelin’ well enough to the ice though. Great news for our beloved Kings!

Dear Kyle…
If you think that the Olymoics is are in no way the motivating factor for these players you are a freak. Take our last years great move in allowing a guy who has made it to the top level of his professional career and playing well to attend the JR. Champioinships. Thats like saying wait I missed my Jr prom in middle school and want to get the credits. STUPID…You have made it to the NHL who cares if you hoist a Jr Champ trophy. But we sent him packing for the two weeks and Moller got hurt and never returned. NICE huh? Even now he is not at the point he was prior to leaving for his JR High trophy. Demetra left for the Olympics and came back hurt missing the next 2 months with eye problems. Nice..Do you see where I am going with this Kyle? If we were a playoff team every year and or even every other year I would say no problem but when you cant be one of 16 teams out of 30 every year since 02′ you should not have any Olympian quality players and If you do you should not allow them to play until they win for the team and fans that are freaking paying their salaries! Nuff Said
