Do you ever sleep…..?
Great work, as always! And Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.
[Reply]
Thank you Rich, great recap & Happy Thanksgiving you too)
[Reply]
We’ll be seeing a lot of turkeys up there in Vancouver today and there will be people wearing Kings jerseys up there as well.

The Kings had a chance to grab two point going into the third last night and got it done. Taking those points on the road against a division rival speaks well of the team and the coaches.
The defensemen made fewer mistakes in this game than probably any other game this season making it a pretty easy night for Quick. When Scuds comes back it will be tough to sit one of them down. O’D is probably the best candidate. Jones moves the puck so well and Drewiske played very well last night.
The forwards were mostly good led by Kopitar, Simmonds, and Brown. Only three forwards seemed sub-par last night those three were Frolov, Handzus and Ivanans.
Frolov was just not fitting into any kind of play and the other two unfortunately don’t have the speed to hang with a good skating team like the Oilers. Give Handzus credit for trying. He makes the effort every night. As everyone knows Ivanans lacks NHL talent and skill. However, the presence of such a player is necessary whether it’s him or someone else.

Is it even possible to bring up schenn?
[Reply]
Rich – the TSN report focused on Handzus hit from behind and the Souray retaliation, can you comment on the play?
[Reply]
Reno,
When the Kings returned players to their junior teams at the beginning of the season, regardless as to whether they have signed profressional contracts as Clifford has done, they can only call those players up on an emergency recall for a limited time due to injuries on the big club. I don’t know the specifics of the rule but basically that’s how it works. Schenn, for example, could not spend the rest of this season with the Kings.

Happy Thanksgiving Rich!
[Reply]
Rich,
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for not deleting my last few comments.
[Reply]
Happy thanksgiving Rich. Hope you get to celebrate somewhat while up in Canada.
[Reply]
Crown,
Why are you writing like a reporter?
[Reply]
If I understand correctly (please help). Once a junior player has been sent down they cannot be called up under any circumstances.
[Reply]
Marko,
Pat Quinn’s comments about the hit on Hemsky.
“He got hit earlier in the game as well but this one was full force into the boards,” Quinn said. “It was a hard hit and he got himself hurt. I don’t know how long he will be out. But it’s not real positive right now.”
Sounds like Quinn thought it was a clean hit.
[Reply]
Cry Baby: No they could not be called up. They are in the W and the O for the year, great leagues.
I don’t think you would call up either of them anyways. Not ahead of the guys in Manch
[Reply]
…and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone NOT in the US, including all of you who celebrate it on the wrong day.
[Reply]
WRT the hit that Hemsky was hurt on, clean probably wasn’t the right word, since it was a penalty. He probably didn’t think it was particularly vicious though (like, meriting suspension.) I don’t think the cameras caught it–I could be wrong.
[Reply]
Vankingsfan, yah they could be caled up but under emergency status
