Schenn staying in Canada

In case there was any question, Dean Lombardi said Brayden Schenn will not be joining the Kings in Los Angeles and will be returning to his junior team. Schenn is not under contract and it seems as though the Kings aren’t ready to sign him yet.

Yeah, saw this coming. Good performance by Brayden, but he’s not ready now. He will be next year I believe.

    Right move.

He looked ok, certainly no worse than Harrold does. Took the body a few times, two nice passes for shots-on-goal that easily could have resulted in his first NHL points. Got creamed taking face-offs, and a few times looked unsure of where to be in the defensive zone. To me always an important sign is puck-patience: does the guy panic with the puck or can he hold it for a second to look around, and I thought Schenn did a good job in this regard and made some good passes under pressure. That bodes well.

Not knowing that Brayden was called up, I was certainly confused listening to the tail end of the game.

At first, I figured it was Luke Schenn, but then, I remembered that he played for TO and not Vancouver.
