I’ve seen a couple questions about where to watch tonight’s Kings-Edmonton game. For those who are close enough to get to the South Bay, there’s a “watch party” at the Redondo Beach Cafe, which is located at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Avenue H in the south part of Redondo. (The owners are big hockey fans…try the smoked meat sandwich) If that’s too far, I would think most sizable sports bars have the ability to pick up the game via satellite dish. Of course, there’s radio and blog updates as well!
and you get to meet the great Ian Turnbull!

That thing Dayman posted would be awesome if it was national or international. Many of us transplants would love to meet up with other Kings fans in our ‘hoods.

FYI the Fox Sports grill in westlake village Ca will be showing the game tonight i just got off the phone with the manager and he told me it will be on.hope to see some of you there.

To anyone in Van I think the game is on Sportsnet and I am going to see if the game is on at Malones. No Nucks game tonight so there a good chance…

Kings fans in Vancouver must be about as hated as Raiders fans in Colorado.
[Reply]
I’m screwed.No center Ice and I live near Camp Pendelton.Not a kings fan in site.

haha …I wouldnt say im hated, they are more surprised that Kings fans even exist. I did receive TONS of hate last year when i was at a game with my Cammalleri jersey, partly because he was a hated Calgary Flamer last year.
I will let you know how tomorrow night works out, i’ll be first row on the second level. Can’t decide between the new Cammo jersey, or my old black and silver Gretzky era jersey

Loved the Cammalleri anecdote…guess that says it best!

no places from Dayman’s reference in Huntington Beach…anyone got a suggestion?

It was a rough night, we lost 1-0 (second last game of the season) and I feared for my jerseys life a little bit.
Hoping for a better result to back up all my talk tomorrow night.

anyone know if the game will be on Center Ice in LA (Time Warner, for me)? I know it’s on their schedule, but I’m afraid it’s blacked out…

@Top Shelf
call your local sports bar, see if they have NHL Center Ice and if they’ll play the game.
for those in OC i called and they said they are showing the game, although i got the impression he was just saying it

Thanks Rich- you really are on top of everything!

Hmmm…why would it be Center Ice be blacked out, unless FSW were showing the Ducks?…I think that’s the only threat…on the other hand, I’m not even sure about that.
Here, the only time Center Ice is blacked out is when it’s the same game, wrong broadcasters (I.E., if the Avs are on, and I want to watch the Kings broadcast.)

TOP SHELF, HB = LONG BOARDS
They were very accommodating a couple years ago before my wife and I got the center ice package. Double check, but that is where I’d go.
Anybody been to the Sandbox on Adams? Reviews are so-so, don’t know if they’d show hockey.

Anyone know of a place in the Valley? Woodland Hills area would be ideal. TIA

I’ve got the game here on my 56″ flatscreen if anyone wants to come over.
[Reply]
Anyone want to run a chat room? I’ll post game updates on the blog as they happen as I have NHLCI and will be watching the Oilers broadcast.
[Reply]
And no Quisp, it won’t be blacked out on Center Ice because there is no Kings broadcast. Same goes tomorrow night with the Vancouver game.

I hate being to far away to see a game at Staples and the thought of driving to San Jose makes my skin crawl. The only plus side to living where I live and being a King fan is that only 4 games a year (on average) are blacked out on TV. What I dont get on TV I get on XM so I dont miss a single game. Add to that the fact that Rich is keeping me up to date with the daily going on’s with the Kings and I get the best of both worlds… Lower taxes and cost of living along with getting to watch 98% of all the Kings games for an average of $1.50 per game is a great trade off for not being able to see a game at Staples.

@Crashin’
Try Soup’s Sport Grill on Ventura Blvd. I’ve seen a number of Kings games there. Plenty of TV’s, they will put it on if its not on.
