Rob Scuderi and Jarret Stoll both skated this morning, but neither will play tonight. The Kings will go with a fourth line of Brandon Segal, Brad Richardson and Raitis Ivanans.
Much more from the skate, including interviews with Patrick O’Sullivan and Teddy Purcell…
please ask Patty O if he still likes playing in “a city that cares about hockey” now that he is being criticized repeatedly for his lackluster play, inability to score, and overall lack of passion.

Ha, Rich, I bet there are going to be a few readers hoping you stuck it to POS a little bit with some pointed questions. I know I’m one of em.

while you’re looking at the video above, also check out the nice article on Anze and Doughty from Paul Kukla over at Kukla’s Korner.

@txkingsfan, re POS (nice moniker for the player, BTW): LOL

and then there are some readers who know that O’Sullivan’s friendship with Brown and Kopitar means that the Kings coming to town will have some friendly moments as well… Good kid, good player, still only 24…

Rich, as always, thanks so much for your great, never-ending coverage of the Kings! I hope all of us Fans never take you for granted! Keep up the terrific coverage.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big POS fan. I think the kid is great and has tremendous upside. BUT … he is not making many fans with his play and mouth as of late. Sure he’s young and maybe we have been spoiled by the maturity and poise of our young guns (Doughty, Quick, Anze, Simmonds, etc), but POS needs to shut up, lace ‘em up tighter, and prove his worth on the ice. No more excuses about where he plays, how much he plays, or with whom he’s playing with. Then again maybe DL knew this about him and was one of the reasons why he was shopped – character goes a long way to improving one’s game as well as building a cohesive team.

hey rich can you find out if any readers have the center ice pack or any bar in the San Fernando valley so us die hard fans can watch the game tonight I personally will donate $ and or beer for this event thanks as always for what you do.
[Reply]
fyi I just called Buffalo Wild Wings and they have the Center Ice package. There’s one in Torrance and Buena Park.

I have nothing against the kid, I really don’t, but I can care less what he has to say. He’s the past now. We have guys here now, in the present who I’m more interested in like the cool coverage of Segal and Lok

I have something against him. He floated for years and then verbally stabbed the organization in the back several times and suggested that “nobody” in LA cares about hockey, and used that as the reason why he couldn’t “get up” for games.
[Reply]
i applaud him for saying what he felt, as apposed to the same cookie cutter answers you get from pro athletes. Its not like his statement is an opinion, its a fact, unfortunately.

Here’s a game that Ivanans should not be dressed for.
[Reply]
dayman – it’s a “fact” that “nobody” in Los Angeles cares about hockey?
And furthermore, it’s a “fact” that the comparative lack of interest in hockey between the two cities is what kept him from being competitive? I call BS. More excuses from this kid.

Then you won’t need to read the next entry.

Dayum…if nobody in LA cared about hockey, then how do the Kings sell around 10-12 thousand season seats? How do the Kings even have a website like this, when in most cities, there isn’t anything close to coverage like we get from Rich?
Silly post my man.
