Sheldon Souray took the long-range slap shot through traffic, and it worked as intended, as Ryan Potulny deflected the puck with his stick, past Jonathan Quick to give the Oilers the lead with 2:33 left in the first period.

    Watching the game on Center Ice. Kings are playing okay, nothing Quick could do on the deflection.
    Loktionov hasn’t had the puck much but the kid is doing alright. He will be fine.

    Everyone is a better skater on that beautiful sheet of Edmonton ice. It really is the best ice in the league but the puck did starting bouncing a bit as the period neared the end.

    Purcell is trying but not getting chances so far. Kopi has had a couple of good opportunities.

    The power play looked better. Brown and Johnson in the first power play unit.
