I am not sure what that has to do with the Kings. I guess if the one team gets hit, then it will spread through the league pretty quickly. The compressed schedule is due to the Olympic break. There is actually a big difference between 6 games every two weeks and 7 games every two weeks. The body does not have the needed recovery time. Ivanans is on the team to provide protection to the youngsters. I think we can say OD and RI's play near the start of the season is the reason for the great start. This is an 85 point team playing at a 100 point pace. You should have seen how aware the Flame D went into the corners when Sims and Ri were on the ice.
