Watching eyes

Let’s see if Drew Doughty, in particular, does anything to impress today. Steve Yzerman and Kevin Lowe, two men with a big say in who will be selected for Canada’s Olympic team, are in attendance this afternoon.

I’d take it that his goal in the 2nd impressed ol’ Stevie.

Doughty did impress. They will be attending the Ducks too but not to watch the players. They want to see the fireworks after the game when the sticks are given away…

I think they were scouting Phaneuf, not Doughty.

Stevie Y: hmm, Phaneuf is having a real nice season with those 6 goals and 11 points, and is +3.

Kevin Lowe: Wow, What a nice goal by the 19 yr old Doughty! That’s 2 points for him tonight….let me check his season totals real quick for ya Stevie. OMG!!! The Teen has 6 goals 20 pts and is a +4 !!!

Stevie: WOW no contest between him and…….uh, what’s his name on the Flamers? oh yeah…Phaneuf.

    Um, yeah.

If they pick Doughty over Phaneuf after seeing that performance they will deserve the Silver medal.

Yes, Hopefully the Canadian team is made up of players that have only half the offensive production as other available players. It will give Team USA a much better chance! GO USA!!!
