Quick postgame quotes

Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…

(on bouncing back from last night’s game…)
QUICK: “That felt great. Yesterday’s game was a rough one, so it was great to see the way the team battled back the night after, on the road, back to back. Everyone just dug in deep and we played a great game.”

(on playing with comfort in goal…)
QUICK: “I felt good. I’ve been feeling comfortable. There were a couple bounces here and there, and a couple of goals that I’d like to have back. It happens. The biggest thing is just moving forward and forgetting about it and building off this win here.”

(on the goalie interference in overtime…)
QUICK: “There was a play in the first that was pretty similar. The ref told me that if that went in, it wouldn’t have been a goal. It was worth a shot to give him my piece of mind there in overtime. It ended up working out.”

There you go. Quick DID end up winning us the game singlehanded – quite literally as he complained to the Ref to review that play. WOW.

Interesting Quick played his chips and used the ref’s explanation to get the call.

NICE HEADS UP PLAY QUICKER! Got us an extra point and a whole buttload of confidence!

It’s really strange after last night’s fiasco, but about five minutes into the 2nd period I got a good look at Quick’s face behind the mask, and at that point I told myself–wow!–he’s got his swagger back.

Unlikely timing, but looks good for Quicker.
