That's because he DIDN'T play a great game, Anthony. He played well enough not to lose because he got enough support.

Wow TM, way to support your back-up goaltender.
Won't even admit that Ersberg played a great game. Instead, the defense bailed him out by blocking shots.
I feel bad for Ersberg and Bernier.

Now the question Macdup asked in the last thread: Did EE play good enough to play against ATL?

I say 'Not really', but you start him anyway. With Kovalchuk most likely in the lineup, I'm sketchy on starting Ersberg. Quick would be better against him, but I'd DEFINITELY prefer Quick against Tampa Bay. EE should play by default on Friday IMHO.

SO Rich, I thought the Fro issues had died down. Apparantely not. Matthew Barry made some references to trade talk (Which I won't mention because I have no clue if they are legit or not) with Fro that was nixed because the other team wanted a #1. I'm not looking for confirmation on that or anything, but I am beginning to wonder if things are heating up. Foxy spoke about Fro last week as comments were dying down (Rightfully so), You and Foxy (Who looked like he was standing on a box next to you) tonight bring up the talk again. I almost want to get this all over with early so it doesn't affect us close to playoff time. It's almost annoying at this point.

As far as who should go, Martinez back to Manch when off IR. I'd trade Purcell and bring up Clune. Harrold can sit until needed. I'm just not seeing anything out of Purcell at all. Almost every time he drives, he's knocked off the puck. I'm not seeing the skill as advertised. His dad's moustache is rockin', but it doesn't score goals. If we keep him all year, he'll end up like Moulson, released for nothing. We can't send him back down and at this point, why would we. He's just not cutting it. I'd like Terry Murray's opinion on Purcell's play so far this year. Maybe I'm missing something.
