Since I was slumming it at Penguins practice today, Kings website intern Andrew Howard did a nice job of filling in with notes, including some good stuff from Rob Scuderi about facing his former team…
Also, here’s a feature I wrote on Scott Parse, and his unlikely rise to becoming an NHL player this season…
TY again Rich!

the e-blast the Kings sent me in the middle of the night had the headline “In-Parse-Able Odds” and I thought that looked a little funky. Glad you had it right…
P.S. Maybe it’s just the cynic in me, but I still think there’s every bit as good a chance as Parse ends up back in Manchester by New Years as he does of sticking, and producing. He has made a few nifty passes, but hell, two years ago Brian Boyle scored a goal on his first shift, and then added a few more and people thought they were seeing the second coming of Christ (or Jason Allison.) Things have a way of finding their correct level… happens all the time.

“Kings website intern Andrew Howard”
Intern, huh? So that sound we heard was Rich Hammond getting to exhale with the arrival of secondary scoring… uhhm, reporting!

WHOA WHOA WHOA MARC!!!!!
For the record, I am nowhere NEAR you, let alone IN you. Let’s get the record straight! (Wipes forehead)
Very good point though. Brian Boyle’s first few games sure made it look like we had a new 2nd line center and he ended up traded. Parse just needs to bring it like Drewiskie and he’ll be fine, but it is all on him. My only worry is his injury history. If he does get injured while up with the big club, TM is going to get his words tested about a guy not losing his spot to injury.
LOL – First I’m a racist, now I’m a homophobe. Gonna be a long day……

Rich, a few grammatical notes:
Should there be a comma after ‘said’ in, “Murray said a former NHL defenseman.”
AND
“everybody’s listening (and) creditably is high,” Murray said.”
Shouldn’t it read “credibility”? Or did the editorial insertion cover another relatable word?

Thanks, Daniel. I just made those fixes, and a couple others. Good catches!
