Parse's debut

Scott Parse is almost certain to make his NHL debut tomorrow night, on a line with Jarret Stoll and Teddy Purcell. Quick's game, new contract

Question: It must feel good to get that contract done. Some relief there, or what is the feeling? QUICK: “Yeah. Well, I don’t want to say `relief,’ because when you say relief, it makes it sound like if it didn’t get done, you’d be stressed out about it, but that wasn’t the situation at all. [...]

Murray meets with Quick

Here are Terry Murray’s further thoughts about Jonathan Quick, including the disclosure that he planned to have a meeting with Quick today. Shortly, I’ll post Quick’s thoughts, both about his play and his new contract… Question: Do you personally address the goalies a lot, or do you leave most of that to Bill (Ranford)? MURRAY: [...]

Stars postgame quotes

A couple quick ones… MARC CRAWFORD: “It’s not very often that game number 10 of the season is a real good game.  We talked to our guys tonight and we could have ended in first place in the [Pacific] division, and that’s what we wanted to do. I was pleased with the way we came [...]

(More) Murray postgame quotes

(on his game thoughts…) MURRAY: “When you’re away from the building for a couple weeks, on the road for six games, and you come back, it’s always that game you talk about. We have to make sure we’re arriving ready to do the right stuff, lots of intensity, get the legs going… You say all [...]

Matt Greene postgame quote

(on losing the third-period lead…)( GREENE: “You don’t want to give any team in your division a point. Obviously they were not in the game and we let them back in it. It’s just something that you can learn off. It’s definitely a mistake on our part, letting those guys back in the game. It’s [...]

Kopitar postgame quotes

(on his first career hat trick…) KOPITAR: “It feels great. It almost didn’t feel great, the way the game ended, but we got two points and that’s the most important thing I guess, right now. We have to look forward and maybe forget the last period of this one and just keep going forward.” (on [...]

Murray quotes on Jonathan Quick

MURRAY: “The goalie needs to be better. Who’s kidding who here? Everybody sees the puck going into the net, on shots where he’s getting a clear look, he’s going down early. He’s starting to maybe guess a little bit in those situations, and he’s just got to toughen up. He’s got to suck it up [...]
