Kings 1, Canucks 1

The Canucks, who did little offensively for the first 18 minutes of the period, scored on their third shot on goal of the game. Alex Burrows went behind the net to play the puck. Rob Scuderi challenged, but Burrows’ centering pass got just past Scuderi’s stick, and Mikael Samuelsson scored on a one-timer from the slot to tie the game 1-1 with 1:24 remaining in the first.
