    Twighlight? Really? LOL

Oh, and Mr. George… last year after about 40 games the Blues were last in the West… and made the playoffs with room to spare. The Coyotes were 5th in the West, and didn’t.

Don’t start printing playoff tickets just yet. It’s a long season.

That was one effin exciting game! A few goals, a bloody face, a penalty shot, a 10 min. penalty, tension of revenge…. and that was just the first period!!! I had a great time watching that game and really wish I had gone to it. Keep up the amazing hockey Kings!

    Re: Parse…

Really does make you wonder, at a time of split squad exhibition games, etc. how Kings management couldn’t see enough out of the guy to give him ice in ONE stinking pre-season tilt :)

The thing about Parse is, at age 25 he has a physical maturity that moves him ahead of many of the youngsters in terms of his level of compete against the opposition. At that point it becomes about instinct and willingness. Parse appears to have both (for now.) But, for every Scott Parse (who hasn’t really dominated at the AHL level,) there’s a Keith Aucoin, Alexandre Giroux, Pierre Parenteau, and a dozen others who never seem to make good on their NHL cups of Joe over a long period of time. It will be interesting…

    I second that Luuuuc

Parse has given TM a pretty good problem to have. That kid can’t go down to Manchester with the way he’s playing. He’s playing smart, aggressive, and in a way reminds me of Deadmarsh…ya I said it…Deadmarsh.

Also, it was really nice to see Frolov deliver again. I’ll be the first to admit it, I’ve been advocating for a trade. Not because I dislike Fro, but more from the business perspective. However…with how he’s playing right now, if he can keep it up, consider me sold on keeping the guy. Great game alltogether.

For all those who were advocating trading Frolov…ummm any second thoughts?

Amazing what a difference playing one of your best players with more offensive players like Brown and Zeus can do for a team and a coach…brilliant move TM. Simmonds is solid and is going to be great player but not playing with Frolov. Frolov is a beast and everyone on the ice has to pay attention to him including his own line. All Brown and Zeus and hopefully our defensman have to do is cycle and get open and the puck will be on your stick.

8-4, leading the league in scoring….thats what secondary scoring will do for a team. You never ever trade a player with this kind of talent. He can dominate a shift, period and every once in a while a game. I will admit he is not an easy player to play with and equally difficult for a coach to find the right players to play with him. With that kind of puck control you have to be patient and always be moving.

Had TM made this move earlier this would have been a non story and the Kings would be 10-2!

    Mr Nathan.

I’m acutely aware of the seasonal fluctuations.

Especially given that the Penguins were out of the playoffs at Christmas time last year.

    It …

    Just…

Well …. makes my heart warm to see the Wings so LOW.

    Here’s me enjoying the moment

I agree with Barry’s Mullet comment. The biggest and prettiest goal of the game was Frolov’s first one. He lead the team with 3 points and didn’t even get one of the stars out of it. I’m wondering if the Kings want to resign him, but only after a reduced price by trying to make him look bad. LET FRO DO HIS THING, TERRY, and you’ll see him score 30 more this year.

Nope. Sorry. Can’t jump on the ‘Fro is great’ bandwagon just yet. If you have kids, you know they are good for the next few days after being grounded, but you don’t change bad habits overnight. We have seen this ‘resurgence’ from Fro in the past when this has happened. As for changing up his line…not buying it. The whole team is starting to buy into the system and generate the offense and Fro has benefited from that regardless of who has been on his line the last two nights. The highlight reel goal he pulled off last night is something he can pull off regularly — and no doubt he worked to generate that chance — but I would like to see more of the garbage goals like his PP goal at the end where he made a smart play to throw it at the net when he knew people were crowding the crease instead of looking for a showboat goal.

That doesn’t mean I don’t wanting him playing games like he did last night the rest of the year, but I have this nagging feeling that we are going to be asking “Where’s Frolov?” again later this year. Hope I am wrong, because that bodes well for the team, but I am not jumping back on Fro’s bandwagon just yet.

Here’s hoping I am eating crow in April.
