Quotes from Jarret Stoll, who had his first two goals of the season tonight. Stoll stopped by, as he boarded the bus, to add that he wanted to give Scott Parse credit for making a great pass, in his first NHL game, on Stoll’s second goal..
(on his game…)
STOLL: “You always want to contribute any way you can, whether it’s scoring goals or whatever, just anything you can bring to help the team win. We got the win tonight, which was huge.’’
(on his line providing some secondary scoring…)
STOLL: “Yeah, I think our lines are now kind of all over the map, but it’s nice to score for sure, and contribute. It’s been a while since I put one in, so it’s a good feeling, and a great feeling to get the win, especially in this building the way they’re playing and all the momentum that they’ve so far created this season. It’s nice to come in here and get a big two points. Big game tomorrow, again, at home, so we know how tough those games are, back to back. It’s just a great team effort. We played OK. We didn’t play great but we played well enough to win. Quickie played good and we got timely goals, which was huge. Simmer’s goal in the third was great, to make it 4-2. We knew they weren’t going to stop. We knew they were going to keep coming. They’re a young, resilient group, and we knew that, but we weathered the storm at the end and got the two points.’’
(on closing out the win in the third period, after Thursday’s third-period letdown…)
STOLL: “We put together two pretty good periods at home the other night. It was one of those games too, where we found a way to win, and at the end of the day we found a way to win that Dallas game. Today here, it was 2-2 after two. We needed a good third period to win the game and we brought that.’’
I really thought that Brownie tipped Jarret first goal.

Great Effort Tonight. Simmonds should stay where he’s at. Williams moves down a notch or two. Simmer creates more than any player out there other than Smyth. Yes the Kings have 2 of the top 5 point leaders in the NHL…Im just saying

Sorry WWAMD did not know you have the trade mark. I am a newbie here and digress. Seacrest Out!
Your Thoughts?

I rally thought Doughty had a JUNIOR MOMENT several times….
the play of most was exceptional, however….
the Kopitar line a power, and how about that Simmonds!
Parse, Purcell remove all doubt if they can play at that level…
Brown’s best game….he had his wheels turning tonight..
Frolov continues to impress…keep it going!
D was acceptable but not outstanding overall….
Quick looked focused, a very positive sign…

Very classy, Stolly! And congrats to Scott Parse…hell of a job on a call-up.

I like you guys way better when we win. Sim has done a good job, but his play should be evidence of what he is capable of when Williams comes back… (And Williams is coming back, you know?)
Good job working the camera this time, Rich. How do you get to Carnegie Hall…
I liked us again tonight. Goaltending is going to make me nervous when we play the Blackhawks in the first round, though. (Yes, I’m still supporting my pre-season pick’em.)

Give credit, too, to Harrold whose hit/bump at center ice freed up the puck for Parse to pick up.

AZKingsFan..
U realize Williams is out for the rest of the year right.
This is Williams were talking about here even if he comes back he’ll get injured again soon after. I called this the day he got traded to LA. I said he’ll be injured within the first 10 games and look what happened.
Williams is injury prone. That trade is as dumb as Lombardi signing Forsberg to a 5 million dollar 3 year contract right now.

Great that stoll finally scored. I’m sure it is a huge weight of his shoulders. Now if only Frolov gets going as well…

Williams was a bad deal, zzzzzzzzzzz, injury prone, zzzzzzzzzz, DL sucks, zzzzzzzzzzzzz, POS is a hero, zzzzzzzzz, TM, zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

The man makes a good point. With few exceptions, the Kings are winning the close games. The teams that win the close games win championships. This team has plenty to work on, but it has more than ever to work WITH!
