Kings 4, Phoenix 3

And now it’s a game again. Ed Jovanovski made a nice pass to Shane Doan, who split two defenders, beat Jack Johnson to the net and gave the puck a little push past Jonathan Quick, who appeared to be trying to poke the puck away. The goal came with 7:30 remaining in the third period.

Quick has been pretty good tonight minus the last goal.

The first goal, he almost saved with his leg even with the crazily wide rebound.

I hate quick.. That’s right, just said it.. He is NOT a #1 goalie in this league and wouldn’t be on any other team.. backup at best.. Give ersberg another chance

Ryan, i think you are letting your emotions get the best of you. sure quick has given up a couple bad goals, but i think its just an issue of him yet to fully mature.

i personally think he’s been a very effective goalie..giving not only me confidence in every game, but also in the Kings as well. the defense is willing a couple mor echances knowing they have a nice security blanket playing behind them

i would suggest you to stop living 2 seasons ago and accept the present. quick wouldnt have been invited to the team usa olympic camp if people didnt think he was the real deal

Simmonds is great, but he tries to go Xbox360 far too many times when he has control of the puck. He really, REALLY needed to pass that puck off to Smyth.

    Ryan:
You shouldn’t hate Quick. He’s just young, and the coaching staff was WAY to early on declaring him the #1 goalie.

All that needs to happen is to give Ersberg a FAIR shot in goal. Usually he gets the front end, on the road, of a back-to-back. Tomorrow would be a great time to test Ersberg instead of allowing the weak play to continue in goal. If he screws up, than back to Quick. So at least they both know that this HAS TO STOP NOW!

  16. What's the frequency, Kenneth? says:

Ersberg hasn’t NOT stunk it up in a long time. They need to send him back down to the minors to get him playing time. Quick is working through his trouble. His play is far from the worst problems this team has. Inconsistency from period to period and special teams are the bigger problems.
