Kings 4, Stars 4

This one required a review, even though it was an obvious goal. Loui Eriksson’s drop pass found James Neal, whose long-range slap shot first hit the left post, then the back of the net to tie the game with 2:46 to go in the third.

I agree….Quick has done an OK job, but Bernier looks like he might be ready or at least be given a chance.

Wow it’s going to be full time job for Quick to pull the knives out of his back from you guys tonight.

The dreaded 3 goal lead evaporated.

All of you who were jumping on the quick bandwagon early on this year (and to some extent last year) are in for a rude awakening. The goalie situation is not settled at all.

Those of you asking for Bernier are even more foolhearted. Why not keep it a competition for as long as it needs to be until either Quick or Ersberg can show ALL of their abilities. I think there has been a built in bias against Ersberg since last year. We have never seen him play over an extended number of games.

I’m not saying he’s the man, but at least he’s older, calmer, and perhaps more steady over the long haul. Or maybe not. But we’ll never know unless TM and DL realize their biases.

Until then, everyone should realize they are infants in this league when it comes to goaltending. We have to score 4 goals every game to be a good team.

its also the beginning of the season, quick has also had a couple great games in here including the previous game against Dallas, he plays well positioning and he seems pretty calm, i think he’ll be allrihgt

Credit DAL with throwing everything at the net from everywhere on the ice. Quick should have had the Fistric and Neal goals, no question, but the team took too many chances in the 3rd and let the Stars back in this one. I like that they didn’t go into their defensive shell, but they took it a bit too far. Gotta find that happy medium holding on to the lead.

Quick will recover. He seems to be able to put these bad goals behind him and come out with strong follow-up games. Let’s hope so, as we’ll need it against the streaking Yotes. We now have four teams in the division that are going to give us fits for 20 more games.

So I’ll take the two points but we really didn’t need to hand DAL one. 4-1 in points in the home and home ain’t too bad though.
