Postgame quotes from Jonathan Quick…
(on his game, and the road trip…)
QUICK: “Yeah, I felt good. I thought I played well at the beginning of the trip there. The Detroit and Columbus games obviously could have gone a little bit better, but this was a great game for the whole team to finish off the road trip. It was a long trip and we played some good clubs, so it’s good to finish .500. We would have liked to finish a little bit better, but we’ll take it.’’
(on the second period…)
QUICK: “(The Stars) got a couple opportunities there on the power play, and then from there on out, the team just shut them down. They couldn’t generate anything. We were forcing them to take some penalties and we capitalized on our opportunities.’’

If I’m not mistaken, Quicker finished the trip 3-2. Nice work. There were some serious soft goals, but some seriously amazing saves. Keep up the good work, get some solid consistency going, and you can take this team to the promised land!
I can only imagine what it must be like for a goalie to go through what Quick is going through. He has the talent, he’s getting the experience, he has a team in front of him that is coming together, yet, despite all of that, he is still learning what it takes to be a number one goaltender in this league. Just like anything in life, there is a learning curve at every level and as frustrating as it can be at times to break through the barriers, it’s part of the process of becoming great. Quick is going through this process. Keep up the good work!
