So Khanon, you're wondering why the 4th line is so whimpy looking and everyone else is wondering why no one came to the aid of Kopitar. Yet when Murray has Ivanans in the lineup you all whine because he's in there. MAKE UP YOUR FRIGGING MINDS PEOPLE!!!!!! Man I think some of you just post so you can see your name on the screen...

Cynic,
I agree, but the bad calls went both ways for the most part. The only really bad one was the missed call on Cleary hitting Kopitar. That was terrible, but the others are going to happen. The bottom line is we need to score on the PP, do better on the PK, and win some key faceoffs. Oh and Quick should probably avoid deflecting shots into his own goal.

I was afraid that the Kings would lose their momentum with the goalie change against the Rangers. Quick was on a roll and could have made the difference in that game. I think he could have played back to back. He seems to thrive on that. But they took him out when he was sharp and goaltending was an issue in both games. Ersberg was sluggish, and then Quick was too.

I really think that a rested Kings team could have beat the Wings tonight, ie, the first period when they had some energy, they did well. It seemed like most of the penalties (the ones that weren't bad calls) were fatigue related. Thank God we don't have too many back to back nights.

Sorry 4th. I call a spade a spade. Refs make mistakes and they cost teams games sometimes. It was our bad luck. I am going to give them some, not all, of the blame in this one.

I don't like to blame the refs either, but when it's multiple times in a game, something needs to be said. This is the highest level in professional hockey and I expect the refs to be at that level. Tonight, they were not. After they watch the video, they will probably tell you the same thing.

I don't mind richardson if you surround him with toughness, but when you play him with fairly identical players, i.e., Lewis and Harrold, it makes this weak team weaker...

Richardson looks good on the 4th line...... we do need to see Rich Clune up here tho.

STOP BLAMING THE REF's! Brown took a dive and drew a call along with Stoll..... Dont be blinded by the ref stuff, it goes both ways..... We got beat by a better team plain and simple... Lets just hope we learned somthing, and start winning some of these games.

Quick wasn't horrible but we need him to be better

The 2nd line played pretty well beginning of the game. Frolov is fine where he is. Someone clip the wires on the panic button.

Smyth took 2 bad penalties. He was upset with himself on both. He's trying to make something happen. I don't remember anyone on the 2nd line getting called for a penalty they committed (Notice the wording to allow for Stoll's serving of Draper's holding the stick penalty).

I agree with Khanon though, where was the support for Kopi on that play? I wonder if the refs weren't the only one not to see the play.

We did not play a full 60 minutes. We played about 40. You will lose to even a wounded Red Wing team when you do that. The refs helped that along A LOT! I really hope the refs look at that one against Stoll though on video. Kopi's too. Both were too damn obvious to miss. Bad form.

I never thought there could be a wimpier team than the wings, but the Kings have proven me wrong. Wow, the Wings out-hit the kings, cheap-shotted Kopitar with no response from the kings, bothered quick, etc.

What is the point of the fourth line of Richardson, Lewis, Harrold?? There's no role players on that line, no physical players, no character, no size, no offense, no scoring... Why the hell would you play those three together?? This team lacks tougness big time, and its starting to get embarrasing watching them get pushed around, while watching the Ducks push other teams around....

Steven,

I'm still on top of the world, I love the team, hate Murray and Williams.

Murray's quotes in the last two games baffle me. Coaches should never accept LOSING! He embraced the loss against NYR and saw nothing wrong with it. Today he talks about 10 minutes of nothing. Well he had all the time in the world during those 10 minutes to DO something. So he should just STFU and coach.
