I agree that someone should have sent a message to Cleary after that cheap shot on Kopi. The Kings have had this problem in the past...that hit on Doughty comes to mind. If the officials don't call it, they have to handle business on their own.

Neil -

Did you ask the same question when the Kings won 4 straight games? No, I didn't think so..

Looking at the ice-time, with only a bit more than 8 minutes, it looks like Purcell's in the dog-house.

I, too, was disappointed that no one went after Cleary for the non-call tripping of Kopi. Where's that "Team Toughness"? And then that basterd gets the next goal! Ouch.

Two games in a row, the veteran player Handzeus has sent the puck out of the zone, on a power play, while not being under duress. He looked like a nervous pee-wee.

Detroit is excellent at getting away with being chippy.

Williams is getting points, granted. But boy does he not belong on the first line. He's not showing himself to be a creator, puck-handler, or a finisher. He reminds me a lot of Richardson.

With the "concern" about the "second" line's low productivity, which is real, for me the question is where's the production from Frolov and Simmonds?

This kind of game happens when you play back to back games and the first is against the top team in the NHL. I'm used to seeing tired teams as an ECHL fan. They have to play 3 in 3 nights a few times a month. My brother was an ECHL player and he will tell you that it doesn't matter how early in the season it is, If you have back to back games and struggle in the first one you suffer thou the 2nd. Let's just hope they get some much needed rest. I will do the same. Night all.

the question i had last year and i have now is this....can this coach motivate a team? Too many games last year and a couple already this year where the Kings just dont play hard for 60 minutes...Is that a fair question???
